To reserve space in a class, payment in full is required when you register. Unless otherwise noted,
classes are $35 (unless otherwise specified)
and times are noted with each listing. Students receive a 10% discount on purchases for the class. If a class is cancelled, you may choose between a Fine Points store credit or a refund.
We require that you call the store 2 days in advance of your class if you wish to cancel and receive a store credit.
Create-A-Class: Don't see what you want? Collect two friends and tell the staff what you'd like and when; we'll try to accommodate you.

 TUNISIAN CROCHET with Jean Ruben
Sunday, May 20th, 2012, 1-4pm, FREE Class
The old fashioned afghan stitch has a new name- it's called Tunisian Crochet. It is the latest trend that is new and exciting in crochet. It's a cross between knitting and crochet, done with a long hook, for making garments, rugs, and throws. It's easy to learn and even better, it's FUN!!!! Join me for a new experience in creating with fiber. I'll have beautiful handmade Maple Tunisian crochet hooks available for purchase. Students must call and register since there's a limit of 8. Come in at 12:30 to purchase class supplies on the day of the class. I'll also have yarn for you to use while you practice.

 3 SQUARED BABY BLANKET with Craig McDonald
Saturday, June 2nd (10am-1pm) and June 9th (10am-12pm), $45.00
Learn all the techniques used to make this nine square baby banquet. Learn to make textured stitches and do color work. This class will be held in two classes with an optional third class for finishing. Materials needed are 5 skeins of different colors of Tahki cotton classic or sublime DK, size 6 needles or size to achieve 22sts=4inches. Please bring multiple size 6 needles or stitch holders. We will work on 4 squares per class. You will need to purchase the pattern and yarn prior to the class. Your homework is to cast on 40 stitches, knit 3 rows for each square. Either leave on needle or place on holder so you are ready for the class. Do this 4 times.

 LEARN TO HAND-DYE with Cat Lee
Saturday, June 16th, 2012, 1-4pm, $35.00
Create your very own original hand painted yarn! Noro, Malabrigo, Colinette, Great Adirondack -We all know and LOVE these yarns for their unique color combinations. Learn how to create your own colorways! Dyes and vats will be provided, and there is an additional $15.00 material fee. This workshop will use ACID dyes - which require heat. Bring your LIGHT colored, white, or natural yarns in wool or silk (up to 1 pound). We have some here at the store if you wish to purchase. You will also need: rubber gloves, old clothes that you aren't worried about getting dye on, and plastic bags to carry your treasure home in.
